
A FLIMBY man accused of making a threat to kill and knife possession will go on trial in front of a jury later this year.
Roland Tallantire, 35, of Ryehill Road, pleaded not guilty to a total of three charges during a short hearing at Carlisle Crown Court.
Tallantire denied making a threat to kill a male, and pleaded not guilty to allegedly threatening the same male with a kitchen knife in a public place – Flimby’s Ryehill Road.
In addition he denied a charge alleging affray.
All three charges arise out of an incident on September 1 this year.
A timetable for the progression of the case was outlined by a prosecutor.
Tallantire, who appeared over a video link from custody, learned he would stand trial in front of a jury at the crown court in the week of November 12.
In the meantime he was told by Judge James Adkin that he would remain in custody.
