Shap Chippy is an award winning fish and chip shop in Shap, Cumbria. After being taken over by new owners in July 2018, Matt and Ashley Phillips and their team achieved the NFFF Quality Award in October 2018 after just a few months of running the Chippy. Out of the 12,000+ Fish and Chip Shops in the UK, only around 250 Chippies obtain this industry award. Recognising outstanding food quality, the highest trading and hygiene standards.

Now in 2019 Shap Chippy has been nominated and shortlisted for another 2 awards: Cumbria Business Awards 2019 run by England’s Business Awards and The 2019 Best Restaurant Award English North West Edition.

‘What makes us so happy is that we have been nominated by our amazing customers for these prestigious awards!’ Said Matt.

‘We are so pleased to be nominated and shortlisted for these awards! We would like to thank all our outstanding team for their hard work and effort in making Shap Chippy a multi award winning Fish and a Chip Shop’ said Ashley.

Follow their journey on their Facebook page where they run competitions and specials offers.
