Award winning Shap Chippy has taken the honour of claiming this prestigious award, thanks to England’s Business Awards.
These awards are nominated for and voted by the general public, then the shop is mystery shopped to make sure that the food, hygiene standards and customer service really are the best.
Shap Chippy will now be put into the finals for the UK’s best Fish and Chip Shop 2019 which will be held later this year in York.
“We are literally over the moon! We work so hard as an independent business to be the best for our customers and this award recognises that” said Matt.
Ashley Phillips added: “This is the second award that we have won since taking over the business last July. We are a multi award winning Fish and Chip shop and it really helps put our village on the map and helps make Shap a destination to visit.”
