A man wanted for failing to appear court after being charged with child sex offences has been arrested by police in Workington.
A public appeal was issued earlier yesterday (March 12) for Jeffrey Maclagan.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Officers can confirm that Maclagan was arrested yesterday and appeared at North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court, where he was remanded in custody.
“The 64-year-old failed to appear at court in February 2012 after being charged with four counts of gross indecency with a child, which were committed in the 1970s.”
