Horse Driving at Lowther Show

The Lowther Show and its headline attraction, the Lowther Horse Driving Trials, returns this August, with developments now underway in all of the areas of the most-anticipated competition.

Long associated with Lowther itself, the Lowther Show would not be complete without its headline showcase. Held inside the glorious grounds of Lowther Castle, the historic estate welcomes the Horse Driving Trials back to its grounds this August. Welcoming a weekend full of sporting action, this year’s competition format includes the Dressage, the fast and furious Marathon followed by the Lowther Derby, with all three disciplines being marked and judged as drivers and their steeds get ready to tackle the tricky courses.

This year’s Lowther Show also welcomes the return of its ever-popular key show features including the Lowther Food & Beer Festival, the Lowther Fishing Island and the Lowther Hound Show and, along with this, the Lowther Show is also pleased to welcome a full line-up of countryside fun inside the Realtree Main Arena and the all-new Interactive Arena.

The Lowther Show takes place over 10th and 11th August 2019. If you’re on the lookout for something different to entertain the family this Summer, then why not join us at the Lowther Show. Advanced priced tickets to this year’s event can now be purchased online at www.lowthershow.co.uk.

Countryman Fairs organise five award-winning events across the UK throughout the year, each showcasing the very best in country life. For more information on all of Countryman Fairs events visit the website at www.countrymanfairs.co.uk and join them on Facebook to stay up to date with the latest news and developments as they happen.
