Young Gosforth entrepreneur’s business is going from strength to strength

Platinum Live formerly known as Platinum Sound, Lighting & Events has recently rebranded after finding its former name didn’t suit the services that they offer.

Over the last couple of years Platinum Live have worked with a range of businesses and on a range of events and establishing a larger clientèle.

They have contacts in many industries, they are also very proud to have made great direct contact with many celebrity and talent agencies allowing more opportunities for their clients and their events.

Oliver Hodgson owner of Platinum Live said: “Over the last 12 months we have worked for a vast range of people and businesses offering services we aren’t usually known for. We have really upped our PR and live events game and offer inclusive packages for every business or event.

“It is a very competitive industry, but here in Cumbria there is room for everyone to grow and improve their skills and knowledge. I work a lot with other companies who do the same kind of thing and we work together to make events as amazing as possible. We all help each other out.”

Platinum Live have recently worked with a few stars of Ibiza Weekender including Imogen Townley and Hayley Fanshaw. Platinum Live are also in the process of tying up a digital contract with a very well-known Geordie TV star.

One of Platinum Live’s friend’s Ben Vollans who is the owner of the Ink Events Company and founder of the Diverse Cumbria Awards spoke about PL saying; “Platinum Live were a delight to work with, from start to finish they were very professional but still had that personal touch that I look for in companies. They ran the entire technical production of our event. I am certainly looking forward to working with them again in the future.”

A recent Cumbrian example of PR work Platinum do would be Soup In The Sticks which was hosted in Whitehaven back in June of this year, Oliver managed the press relations for the event and made sure it was heard using his contacts in the press industry, as well as this Platinum are also doing some work for Sinderella the UK tour, dealing and liaising with regional and national outlets.

A second of Platinum Lives’ good friends Joe Purdy executive producer said: “Oliver has got fantastic drive and determination. He’s one of the most thorough and professional guys I’ve come across and I look forward to working with him more in the future.”

Platinum Live often help smaller businesses grow as well as the larger ones who tend to have the larger events. At the moment they are working with a few businesses who are much more local and smaller than what they usually cater for, Oliver said “Over the last twelve months we have taken on some fantastic local businesses, I am working with people who I have known for a long time and it’s great to have that community feel when you are working with people who live up the road!”
