A new Raymond James wealth management service has opened in Kendal, Cumbria. It will be headed up by branch principal Nick Levens and will operate under the name Raymond James, Kendal.

Nick will offer investment management services to individuals in Kendal and the surrounding area. Nick, who was born and raised in Kendal, will focus on offering a personal service focused on individual clients’ financial objectives, servicing Kendal and the surrounding areas.

Nick began his career in the financial services sector in 1996 at Prolific Unit Trust Managers Limited, before moving to London with Henderson Investors. In 2000 he moved back to Kendal to work at Gerrard (now Barclays Wealth) before spending the last 17 years at Sanlam Private Wealth (formally Border Asset Management).

On opening the new service in Kendal, Nick said: “Having lived in Kendal for a number of years I have developed a deep understanding of the needs of the local community. This focus on community and personal relationships will be at the very heart of what I do, as I look to help the people of Kendal achieve their financial goals.

“I want to build a long-term opportunity for people who do not want to experience a high turnover of individuals managing their investments.

“Working with Raymond James will provide me with the security of a large parent company, whilst giving me the time to focus on the individual’s specific needs.”

Anthony Scott, Head of Business Development at Raymond James said: “Nick has a wealth of experience in the sector and I am confident he will become a valued part of the Raymond James community. Nick has a strong relationship with the local community and so understands better than most their financial needs and will be able to bring the personal touch to his role and relationship with his clients. We are excited to see what the future will bring and the value Nick can add to the community in Kendal and the surrounding area.”
