Police are investigating a theft which happened at about 1.30pm on Sunday 26th January.

The unknown suspects have entered the Thuline Art Studio on Main Street, Windermere and stolen business receipts which potentially contain customers card details.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Police are advising that as a precaution, anyone that may have purchased items from the art gallery in the last two months by credit/debit card should check their accounts and consider cancelling their cards as a precautionary measure.

“The suspects are described as two black males and two black females with Manchester accents.

“The first male is described as in his early 30s, about 6ft tall, and of large build.

“The second male is described as in his early 30s.

“The first female is described as being in her 30s, with long straight black hair, slim build, around 5 foot and wearing all black clothing.

“The second female is described only as wearing all black clothing.”

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact PC 2543 on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting log 120 of the 26th January.
