The Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM) of North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust and Annual General Meeting (AGM) of North Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will be held jointly this year.

For the first time, members of the public are invited to join a digital version of the AMM and AGM taking place on Thursday 22nd October, 3.00pm – 4.00pm through an online platform.

The event provides an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the achievements over the last 12 months, the current financial position, reflections on the Covid-19 pandemic and plans for the future.

The AMM will be a great opportunity for Trust Members and everyone with an interest in the provision of local healthcare services to find out more about what has been going on over the last 12 months.

The meeting will be a valuable chance for people to put their own questions to members of  the Trust Board of Directors and CCG Governing Body and give their views about the services provided.

Members of the public can submit questions in advance to the Corporate Governance Team at NCIC; please email questions to: corporate.governance@ncic.nhs.uk or for the CCG at Enquiries@northcumbriaccg.nhs.uk by no later than noon on Monday 19th October.

There will be presentations on the Annual Report and Accounts 2019/20 published on the organisations’ websites in advance along with the link for anyone wishing to join.

Daniel Scheffer, Company Secretary at NCIC, said: “We want to keep everyone safe from Coronavirus this year so, for the first time, we have decided to hold a joint meeting with North Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Group using digital technology.

“We wish to share the excellent work that has been taking place and welcome the feedback of the public, our staff, Trust Members, partner organisations and everyone with an interest in healthcare.

“These last few months have been particularly challenging due to the pandemic and our colleagues have gone above and beyond the call of duty. We are now focusing on the recovery and restoration of services as well as planning for the future.”

Jon Rush, chair of NHS North Cumbria CCG, said: “It’s really important that we have these conversations with our community about how we are working, what we are achieving and hear where things could be better. It is only by working together we’ll deliver the best health care for people in north Cumbria.”

The live, online event will take place on the Microsoft Teams platform on Thursday 22nd October, 3.00pm to 4.00pm.

If people would like to express their interest in observing the event, please email the NCIC Corporate Governance Team on corporate.governance@ncic.nhs.uk or phone 01228 603761.

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital and community health services to a half a million people. We’re responsible for delivering over 70 services across 15 main locations and we employ over 6500 members of staff.

NHS North Cumbria Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) commission primary care, community and hospital services to get the best healthcare and health outcomes for our communities.
