Poultry Units

In what can only be described as a unique opportunity, H&H Land & Estates are delighted to bring to market a bespoke and very well maintained 156,000 bird poultry broiler unit. Located close to Wigton and with easy access to the M6, the four broiler units, each with their own feed tower and ancillary control room, are located on an immaculate 3.78 acre site. With concrete hardstanding and gravelled areas between units, the modern site has 3 phase electricity and a metered mains water supply.

Given that poultry units are often invested in but rarely come to market, this sale represents an unusual opportunity and would be ideal for buyers seeking a new business venture. The Poulty Unit is for sale through the Carlisle Office of H&H Land & Estates by Private Treaty with a recommended guide price of £850,000.

On launching the details of the sale, Thomas Armstrong, Director & Chartered Surveyor for H&H Land & Estates said: “Offering the tremendous chance for someone to start their own poultry farm business, this fully operational broiler unit is ready to walk into and begin production. Farming opportunities such as this coming on to the open maket really are few and far between.

“The site, equipment and four modern units are all in excellent condition and have been very well looked after. Given the potential this enterprise offers and the site’s proximity to Carlisle and the M6, we are anticipating that the poultry unit will have great appeal to those looking for a new or additional business venture.”

On site are five 4,000 litre Calor gas tanks and a 100KVA diesel operated generator. There is a fully operational drainage system in place to settlement tanks and filter beds to the rear of the field.

Measuring 240ft x 80ft each, every broiler unit is fitted with multi fans and either internal or external heaters, as well as nipple drinkers and either track or pan feeders that are all well maintained and fully serviced. The control rooms are fitted with Hotraco and Farmvent ventilation systems, Dostraton Medication systems, sink units and individual electric meters.

For further information or to arrange a viewing, which are strictly by appointment, please call the Carlisle Office of H&H Land & Estates at Borderway, on 01228 406260.

H&H Land & Estates is one of the North’s largest firms of chartered surveyors and specialist rural advisors in the region. With clients across the North West and North East the agency benefits from a number of offices currently with plenty of rural properties on the market.

It is important to note that wind turbines are excluded from the sale.
