A West Cumbrian engineering and project management consultancy has strengthened its team with a senior appointment.
Environmental specialist Rebecca Dunn has joined REACT Engineering as a principal consultant and will support its work at the Sellafield site.
REACT primarily works in civil nuclear decommissioning, nuclear-related defence, and nuclear new-build sectors.
Over the last 18 years, Rebecca, 41, who is originally from Caldbeck, has worked as an environmental advisor across sectors including energy, waste, construction and the public sector, as well as nuclear decommissioning.
She previously worked for global engineering firm Atkins on projects including the decommissioning of the Rolls-Royce Vulcan site in northern Scotland.
Phil Redfern, managing director of REACT Engineering, which is based in Cleator Moor, said: “Rebecca’s extensive knowledge and expertise as an environmental consultant will be vital as we move forward to deliver solutions across a wide variety of complex and challenging projects.”
