Restart grants for firms now available in South Lakeland

South Lakeland businesses can now apply for the Government’s one-off Restart Grants.

The grants for businesses affected by the coronavirus restrictions are being administered by South Lakeland District Council  in two strands:

  • Non-essential retail businesses: Businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or below will receive £2,667, a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000 will receive £4,000 and a rateable value of £51,000 or over will receive £6,000.
  • Hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym or sport business premises:  Businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or below will receive £8,000, a rateable value over £15,000 and less than £51,000 will receive £12,000 and a rateable value of £51,000 or over will receive £18,000.

It should take no longer than 15 minutes to fill out the application form if you have everything with you to do so.

Applicants should consult the Restart Grant checklist on the website first.

The Restart Grant scheme is for businesses in the business ratings list only.
