A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident in Brampton earlier this month.

The incident happened outside an address on Front Street, at around 1.25am on June 6.

It involved a man, a woman and a teenage boy.

No serious injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

The man has since been released on police bail.

Officers are keen to speak to the man who stopped to offer assistance to the woman, but left before officers had attended.

It was reported he was driving a white van.

Anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit, quoting incident number 21 of 6 June or call 101 and ask to speak to PC 2809.
