The family of Shaun Milburn, who was killed in a collision on the A66 at Cockermouth on Saturday, have paid tribute to him.
Mr Milburn, 34, of Maryport, died following a road traffic collision at 5.50am.
The collision, which occurred on the A66/A595 Fitz roundabout, involved a tractor and a black Ford S-Max.
Shareen, Mr Milburn’s wife, said: “Shaun was a loving and overprotective father to eight children, aged between 17 years and one-year-old.
“Shaun was my best friend, my number one man.
“He was such a caring and loyal husband, who came from a big family of seven brothers and one sister.
“Family was everything to him, he loved spending time with family and could not have wished for a better Mam and Dad, who he loved deeply.
“Shaun was the life and soul of the party, he enjoyed life to the full.
“He leaves a big hole in all our hearts and he will never be forgotten. We all love you babes xx”
