Windermere Jetty Museum is offering the following activities:
WRECKED! – Open until spring 2022
WRECKED! reveals a fascinating insight into the perils of Windermere’s long-lost ships. It prompts new thinking about the human impact on the lake and surrounding landscape and embraces a spirit of adventure with a family trail covering all corners of the museum.
Heritage Boat Trips – Daily
Currently, MV Penelope II is on the water and will shortly be joined by SL Osprey – together on the water for the first time. Step back into another era and enjoy a graceful cruise on Windermere.
Lakeshore Campfires – Daily during the summer holidays
Hire your very own secluded campfire hidden along the lakeshore. There’s fun for the whole family with den building activities, time to connect with nature or just a chance to sit and watch the world go by with the water lapping at your feet.
Relax on handcrafted seating underneath repurposed boat sails while toasting a marshmallow or two on a real charcoal campfire. Picnics are available to pre-order from our popular lakeshore café.
Campfires are available for the day from 10.30am – 4pm. The price is £30 for a family of six.
Fishy Tales – Sunday, August 1
Join storyteller Liz Fost during Lake District Summer Music for watery tales from around the world.
Meet Maggie the retired pirate and her hopeless assistant Boris in their seaside curiosity shop. Enter a world of mythical mermaids, luckless sailors and strange creatures from the deep, where every object comes with a story.
