Lowca are among 12 recipients of money being handed out from the RL World Cup funding initiative.

Despite the World Cup being recently put back to 2022 the CreatedBy small-scale fund has announced another £98,756 of grants.

Lowca’s share is £4,952, which will be used towards creating a welcoming environment to the Copeland club.

Ground levelling, secured fencing, a seating area and a small training area for children will be created outside the club.

The CreatedBy Small Scale Grants programme RLWC2021 has given opportunities and essential funding to some of the hardest hit and most disadvantaged communities across England, predominantly in the RL’s heartland of the north.

Small-scale applications are now on hold, but CreatedBy funding will relaunch next year enabling RLWC2021 to continue to deliver significant and impactful social benefit on local communities across England.

As well as Lowca, other clubs to benefit from the latest grants include Emley Moor, Folly Lane, Hunslet Club Parkside, Illingworth and Salford City Roosters.
