
A would-be thief had to ditch the car he was attempting to steal in Workington after he stalled it.
Police are appealing for information about the incident, which happened on August 6 at around 7.20am at Roper Terrace, Salterbeck.
It was reported that a man stole car keys and made off in the stolen car, before stalling and making off on foot.
The male was described to have been in his late 20s, around 5ft 11in, of stocky build, with short dark hair, stubble.
He spoke with a North East accent and was wearing a dark Puffa-style jacket and knee-length shorts.
