Officers in Workington say they will be patrolling the area after receiving a number of reports about eggs being thrown at homes, businesses and cars in the town centre.
Police say they are working to identify those involved and that “this behaviour will not be tolerated”.
A statement from Allerdale Police asked businesses to consider the sale of eggs to youths.
