Fifteen members of Whitehaven RUFC are getting on their bikes for a mammoth charity challenge.
The players have been training since December for the three-day ride, which will see them visit each of Cumbria’s 22 Rugby Union clubs from tomorrow.
They will cover 291 miles and ascend the equivalent of Scafell Pike to raise cash for the Great North Air Ambulance, Copeland children’s bereavement service Time to Share and Whitehaven RUFC’s youth section.
They aim to raise £5,000.

They will visit the following clubs:
Friday
Moresby, Workington, Netherhall, Silloth, Carlisle, Creighton, Wigton, Aspatria, Cockermouth and Keswick.
Saturday
Penrith, Upper Eden, Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal, Windermere and Ambleside.
Sunday
Furness, Hawcoat Park, Millom, Egremont, St Benedict’s and Whitehaven.
