Vehicle owners in Carlisle are warned to take extra caution when leaving their cars overnight following an incident in the early hours.
Police are investigating a suspicious incident where someone was seen trying vehicle door handles on Pennine Way at around 3.15am on Saturday.
Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have any information or CCTV footage to come forward.
Officers said they urged all vehicle owners to take caution, ensure vehicles are locked overnight and to report any suspicious activity to police.
