
A man has been sentenced to four months in jail after police found £30,000-worth of cannabis in his car.
Marco Goga, 22 of Croft Street, London, appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court and was jailed for possession with intent to supply cannabis.
The court heard that on Sunday, October 17, police officers saw a black Audi A6 driving at speed on London Road, Carlisle.
Officers stopped the vehicle and Goga identified himself to officers.
Goga admitted to officers he was in possession of cannabis in the back of his vehicle.
He was arrested Goga and taken to Durranhill police station where a search was carried out of Goga and his vehicle.
Officers located a large quantity of cannabis valued at £30,000 and £345 in cash in the vehicle.
Detective Constable James Gisborne said “This was a great result taking 3kg of cannabis of the street.
“We will take action against those who seek to profit from the illegal supply of drugs and we continue to encourage the public to report any suspicions they have regarding the supply of drugs.”
