About £290 was stolen from an unlocked car in Barrow.
Police are appealing for witnesses following a theft from a vehicle on Pennine Gardens between 1pm and 2pm on Wednesday.
A black round purse containing about £290 was stolen from a parked and unlocked blue Peugeot.
