A civil engineering company has taken on 10 new members of staff – as its rapid expansion continues.
Having carried out work predominantly in the north of Cumbria in recent years, Grant Ltd has recently expanded into the south of the county and has created new roles to help with the extra workload.
The recruitment drive comes at an exciting time for Grant Ltd, as in addition to now carrying out work on multiple housing developments across Cumbria and Lancashire, the company is also laying the groundwork for an extension at the Energy Coast University Technical College (UTC) at Lillyhall, near Workington, which comprises a new technical workshop, sports pitch and pavilion.
Scott Burns, the General Manager at Grant Ltd, said: “We are undergoing an expansion programme and reaching more parts of Cumbria than ever before, and we have been fortunate enough to provide job opportunities to more people in recent months.
“It is a really exciting time for us here at Grant Ltd and we are hoping more people can join our happy team and help us with the big projects we are working on currently, and in the future.”
Grant Ltd has recently started laying the foundations at housing developments in Penrith, Kendal, Stainburn and Rheda North Park, near Workington.
In addition to the work on the UTC extension, Grant Ltd has also assisted on other major developments across Cumbria including the construction of two 60-bed dementia care homes, the creation of commercial outlets for Lidl and WCF and improvements to water treatment works.
