
The Cumbria Combine held seven races in 2021 and the winners came from all parts of the county.
Those successful fanciers have been presented with their trophies by the Combine president Lawrie Silverwood at a meeting in the Union Jack Club, Workington.
Unfortunately two of the longest-travelling winners Alan Johnson and Ron Lilleby, both from Barrow, could not attend the presentation.
Alan had won the Combine from Weymouth while Ron was to receive a gold award for the performance of one of his birds which had achieved five top 20 Combine positions.
The winners were:
Cliff Curley, Appleby, 1st Cumbria Combine Guernsey, 425 birds; Jason Dempsey, son and Reay, Maryport, 1st Cheltenham YB, 1605 birds; Evans and Abraham, Workington, 1st Cheltenham OB, 3310 birds; Gold award, Ron Lilleby, Barrow in Furness;
Martindale and Lawman, Workington, 1st Marlborough No2, 645 birds; Peter Kirkwood, Carlisle, Marlborough No1, 2464 birds; Steve and Eileen Chambers and daughter, Whitehaven, 1st Cannock,1812 birds.
