Penrith’s 330th parkrun event saw 174 participants take part.

Congratulations to Harry Lancaster (16.42), Finley Harrison (17.51) and Bill Stewart (17.56) in the male category and Helen Wilkinson (21.24), Nicola King (21.32) and Kerry Grinbergs (22.07) in the female category.

Further congratulations go to Andrew Douglas (50), Heather Heron (100), Karen Bridge (250) for achieving a landmark number of runs.

Pippa Lewis brought some festive spirit and excitement in reaching her 10th parkrun following in the footsteps of her siblings Drew and Xander and parents Dan and Natalie Lewis.

It was also a special day for Syd Burns who is a stalwart of Penrith parkrun and always offers huge support out on course whatever the weather conditions.

Syd, who is going still strong into his 80s and offers his support as a marshal every week, reached his 250th Parkrun event.

REPORT: James Grinbergs
