A man has been left with head injuries following an attack by a group of balaclava-clad youths.

Cumbria Constabulary is appealing for witnesses after what police are describing as an incident of grievous bodily harm at around 8.50pm on December 17, in the area of High Seaton, near Workington.

It was reported that a group of youths wearing balaclavas approached another youth while shouting abuse at him before assaulting him. The victim suffered injuries to his head.

The main suspect was wearing a orange coloured gilet and a black balaclava at the time of the attack.
