Police are hunting a grey tracksuit-wearing man after a car was "deliberately" set alight in Workington.

Police are hunting a grey tracksuit-wearing man after a car was “deliberately” set alight in Workington.

Officers are probing a suspected arson that took place at around 5.25pm on December 18 in the Shelley Court area of Salterbeck.

It was reported that a car that was parked and empty was deliberately set alight. There were no reported injuries.

Fire and police attended the scene.

Police would like to identify and speak to a man described as 6ft and wearing a grey tracksuit, who was seen by the car during the incident.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area during the incident or to anyone who has any information about what happened.
