A Cumbrian accountancy firm has appointed two new partners.
Dodd & Co has announced that Jonathan Ridley has been made a tax partner and Nathan Glaister has been made the firm’s first financial services partner.
Jonathan joined Dodds straight from school as a tax apprentice and qualified as a chartered tax adviser in 2011 and a trust and estate practitioner in 2013.
Nathan, who has over 20 years’ of experience as a financial adviser, joined the Dodd & Co team in 2015 and set up the firm’s financial services sister company Dodd Wealthcare Limited.
A Dodd Wealthcare director since 2017, Nathan is joining the Dodd & Co partnership to further support the growth between the two firms.
Dodd & Co, which has just celebrated its 40th birthday, has almost 200 staff working from its Carlisle and Penrith offices.
Partner Alison Johnston said: “The Doddie ethos has always been to provide excellent client service, whilst providing a great working environment and fantastic career opportunities for our team.
“Jonathan and Nathan both bring different skills and knowledge to the table and guarantee the continued success and strength of the team here at Dodd & Co. I am incredibly proud of the team we have built; everyone makes a difference, and everyone has the opportunity to progress.
While the firm looks to the future, it has also announced the retirement of Ian and Jeanette Brown.
Ian was one of the founding partners 40 years ago and Jeanette joined almost 39 years ago.
