Driver taken to hospital after A590 crash

A Cumbria Constabulary vehicle drives along the road

A motorist has been taken to hospital after a lorry overturned.

Poice are currently at the scene of the collision, which is between Lindal and Swarthmoor on the A590.

A diversion is in place at Greenodd.

The road has been closed while the vehicle is recovered and is expected to remain shut for some time.

Police and paramedics attended the scene.

The driver is being taken to Furness General Hospital with injuries believed to be minor.
