Midfielder Ben Gladwin will miss Swindon Town’s visit to Carlisle United with a hamstring problem.
The 29-year-old Reading-born Gladwin felt the in the 3-0 win over Scunthorpe United last weekend and had undergone further tests. As a result he’s set for a spell on the side-lines.
Gladwin is actually in his fourth stint with the Robins, although the second and third were loan spells when he was with Queens Park Rangers in 2015 and 2017.
After six different non-league clubs he joined Swindon in 2013 and clocked-up 47 games with eight goals before joining QPR.
His first loan spell saw him play 13 games (two goals) and a third yirlded 18 games and two goals.
He then had spells for Blackburn Rovers and MK Dons before returning in a permanent deal for this season where he has become a regular in the midfield.
Head Coach Ben Garner said: “Ben has some damage in his hamstring from Saturday and that has unfortunately ruled him out.
“It is going to be a period of time. We have an idea (of a timeframe), I never like to say it because I just think you open things up by doing that, but he’ll certainly miss a few games.
“He’s positive in his mindset and he’s already underway with his rehab and his recovery, we’ll get him back as quickly as we can and hopefully he can have a strong finish to the season.”
Fellow midfielder Jonny Williams does return to the squad travelling north but there’s still no return for injured pair, attacking midfielder Jack Payne and defender Dion Conroy.
