Only four games were played in the Workington and District Sunday League and all were very well contested.

The tightest two games both finished 2-1 in the Divisional Cup when results could easily have gone the other way.

In the Premier League Divisional Cup Adam Kilgour scored both goals for Northside as they edged home at Blue Bell, whose reply came from Kieran Mewse.

Highfield have had a rough time of it lately but they came good in the League One Divisional Cup with their narrow victory over JJ’s.

Adam Novak and Dan Graham were on target for the Cockermouth hosts with Kyran Smith pulling one back for JJ’s.

Sun Inn came out on top 5-2 against Dearham in a Premier League Divisional Cup clash in which they had five different scorers.

Malcolm Graham, Richard O’Keefe, Daniel Pearson, Matty Prior and Mark Irwin were all on the mark for the Sun.

The only hat-trick on the day was scored by Sun Inn Athletic’s Mark Campbell in a 4-2 Division One win at Flimby Social.

Dan Stockdale was also on the mark while the Flimby goals came from Karl Fillingham and Max Litt.

Sunday fixtures

Premier League Divisional Cup – Dearham v Dee Orchard; Salterbeck v Blue Bell.

Premier League – Northside v Sun Inn.

Division One – JJ’s v Flimby Social Club.

Division One Divisional Cup – Sun Inn Athletic v The Junction; Senhouse v Maryport Athletic.

All kick-offs 2pm.
