Carlisle travel to Wilmslow on Saturday for a rearranged North One West game.

The Warwick Road side, well beaten at Broughton Park last weekend, have had more injuries to contemplate.

A number of younger players had their first experience of senior rugby and it’s likely that a couple more could be tested this weekend.

Generally, though, Saturday should be a free week for clubs in League competition.

Although there’s no home action for the first team there is plenty of rugby in prospect for the Warwick Road faithful.

Lots of sides are involved from junior age group sides through to veterans.

It all starts on Friday night under lights in which a mixed veterans side take on a travelling side from Northallerton Rugby Club.

The vets game has been organised by Lee Brumpton, and his Law and Disorder side will be looking to put on a good show against the North Yorkshiremen. Kick-off is 7pm

The cliubhouse will be showing all the Six Nations games on Saturday ahead of a big Sunday for a lot of of the club’s sides.

Carlisle’s Under-15s are in County Cup final action at Lowmoor Road, Wigton as they take on St Benedict’s (kick-off 11am}.

The Colts are also in action in the Border Plate Final as they take on Peebles at Melrose (kick-off 1.45pm).

The Cougars Ladies team are in action in a crucial league game against Novos as they look to maintain their promotion run in what is likely to be a very competitive close game.

To add to the feast of rugby at Warwick Road there are also some round robin matches for the County Girls under 18s sides involving Cumbria, Durham and Northumberland with them also kicking off at 2.30pm.
