The West Cumbria Ukrainian Appeal has set off to Poland with emergency supplies for Ukraine.
Nina Albertelli and her team of volunteers have collected and sorted donations from the town and surrounding areas at the depot of Forth Engineering at Cleator Moor.
The Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell and the Bishop of Carlisle James Newcome both blessed and prayed for the drivers and vans are hoping for a swift and safe journey.
Nina said: “Thanks to all the helpers and donations by the public of West Cumbria.”
