Kendal looking for big finish at end of season

Kendal are looking for a big finish with maximum points from their last two games of the season against North One West strugglers.

They start on Saturday at home to Douglas and then conclude the season on April 23 at home to Carlisle.

The Mint Bridge side are coming into the contest on the back of two defeats, at home to Stockport and at Glossop on Saturday.

Matt Houghton will replace Robbie Collinson at hooker and Dane Blenkhard moves into the openside flanker role to take over from Houghton.

Mark Carruthers switchers to centre from the wing to replace Dan Lowther, and Joe Cook steps up from the bench to take over from Carruthers.

Dan Greenwood and Joe Fiddler join long-serving Liam Hayton on the bench.

Douglas have won three of their 21 games so far and are next to bottom on 21 points. Only Carlisle, on minus one because of 20 points docked, are below them.

Kendal have an excellent chance of improving their fourth place to finish third as the team above them, Firwood Waterloo (currently three points better off) go to Manchester (2nd in the table) for their final game.

The kick-off has been brought forward to 1-30pm to help Douglas over their flight back to the Isle of Man.
