A luxury Lake District hotel has appointed a new general manager.
Mark Starkey has joined The Belsfield, on the shores of Windermere, bringing over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, from his role as general manager at Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa in Chester.
Prior to that, Mark worked for Jupiter Hotels and Crerar Hotels in the UK, and Sandals Resort International in the Caribbean as hotel manager.
Mark said: “I am very proud to be joining The Belsfield which has such a rich history, and I’m delighted to be working with such a fantastic team. The hotel is known for quality and for creating heartfelt experiences for our guests and I am looking forward to continuing to build on this and to developing our offer even further.”
The Grade II listed hotel, in Bowness-on-Windermere, has 62 bedrooms and sits among six acres of landscaped gardens.
