A Carlisle pub is the latest venue in Carlisle to welcome a piece of wall art, courtesy of the Blank Wall Assassins.
The Crown Inn on Scotland Road in Stanwix has collaborated with the assassins and its network of international street artists.
The group has recently completed the mural by a Portuguese artist on Junction Street and previously at Tullie House, where the artwork was created by French artist Atma.
It is Atma who has again been hard at work with his latest creation at the Crown.
Owner Dianne Irving said: “I am absolutely delighted with our new mural, which now puts us on the ever-growing Carlisle Street Art Trail.
“We asked Atma to create something colourful and bold and he has certainly delivered that. It’s stunning!
“Atma has used the basic shape of a crown and blended in all sorts of detail taken from the architecture and décor of the pub, as well as some Carlisle based influences such as the star from the cathedral ceiling.
“In 2018, we converted what had been the old bin store at the pub into a vibrant beer garden that was placed in the top six pub gardens in the country at the Great British Pub Awards in London. With the new artwork by Atma, we might just get another go at it!”
