Kendal can claim third place in North One West if they win their final game against Douglas.
But they won’t be able to use Mint Bridge as it will be packed to the rafters with a wedding reception, so have had to find a stand-in home ground.
The match, in fact, will be played eight miles away at Windermere who have kindly put their facilities Kendal’s way.
One of the club’s promising younger players, full-back McKenzie Cousins comes in for his senior debut, replacing the experienced Chris Park who has contributed 113 points to the Kendal cause this season.
That’s one of several changes in the backs, although the pack stays the same as the one which played in the last win over Carlisle two weeks ago.
Joe Cook will take over from Mark Carruthers on the wing, while Danny Barker replacers Dan Lowther at centre.
On the bench second XV captain Dan Wilson, is in line to get his first taste of the senior side for three years. Also on the replacement bench are Dane Blenkham and Joe Fiddler.
Visitors Douglas, have not had the best of seasons, with three wins, Carlisle at Home, and a double over Bowden, plus draws against Altrincham Kersal and Glossop. Other points coming from losing bonus points against Vale of Lune and Birkenhead Park, plus three try scoring bonus points.
Douglas had problems with their flights from the Isle of Man when the game was scheduled last month and have named 18 for the trip.
The Manxmen have struggled for most of the season and have only won three games – beating Bowdon twice and also the home game with Carlisle. They have also drawn twice with Glossop and Altrincham Kersal.
