Ellenborough go on a recovery mission tomorrow when they stage the Holmen Iggesund Cumberland League’s Match of the Day.

The League champions were stunned by Distington a fortnight ago in the BARLA Cumbria Cup and after a tight first-half were swept away in the second period, eventually going down 50-16.

They have the opportunity to put that right at home to Wath Brow A but the visitors are more than capable opponents and a tough contest is in prospect.

Distington return to action at Glasson in what is a dfress rehearsal for the next round of the Cumbria Cup.

Cockermouth, highly encouraged by their win at Lowca last week in the Cumbria Cup, get back to Premier Division action with a home game against Aspatria.

The Premier Division programme is completed by the game between Lowca and Maryport.

The week-end’s amateur rugby league starts tonight with three games programmed for Division One.

There’s a Whitehaven derby between Kells A and Hensingham A; an all Allerdale clash sees Seaton A entertain Cockermouth A while an inter-district confrontation sees Ellenborough A entertain Egremont A.
