Allistair Moffat continues strong start to season

Allistair Moffat continued his strong start to the season by winning the Chapel Brow 10-mile time trial organised by Velo Club Cumbria.

Moffat set a time of 23 minutes and 20 seconds on the hilly 10-mile course in difficult windy conditions, at an average speed of 25.7mph.

He was 47 seconds clear of Sam Wedgwood in second place. Richard Shield was third in a time of 24.29 and fastest road bike rider was Daniel Ward with a time of 26.37.

VCC’s club time trials continue on Tuesday May 17 with the Keswick 25. Sign on is from 6pm on the old road adjacent to the A66 at Braithwaite.
