World of Beatrix Potter staff stepped up for Ukraine

Staff at the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction have raised more than £12,000 for the UNICEF Ukraine Appeal.

Directors at the attraction in Bowness-on-Windermere sponsored each member of staff to walk as far as they could over four weeks. Staff stepped up to the challenge and recorded over six million steps – which would very nearly take them via land to Ukraine and home again.

The raised a total of £12,288 for the appeal, which helps people affected by the war.

The attraction flies the Ukrainian flag to show support and solidarity following the Russian invasion earlier this year.
