Youngsters from across Cumbria attended a conference organised by charitable organisation Rotary.
The primary school children, who belong to Rotakids clubs, gathered at the University of Cumbria Lancaster campus for the event to meet up and complete activities.
This year, the Rotary Club of Brampton and Longtown was represented by Warwick Bridge Rotakids.
Activities included fire safety from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service, Bee keeping from Lune Beekeepers, Plant & Grow sessions, music making, bracelet & badge making and the Lune River Trust project.
The final session in the lecture theatre included a musical presentation to everyone by some of the Rotakids, providing a great example of what can be learned in a short space of time. They received well deserved applause.
Mark Ashton, headteacher of Warwick Bridge School, said: “The pupils had an excellent time at the conference. There was a wealth of activities and engaging tutors who gave them all a valuable insight into an array of different practises. All of the children talked about the day and they especially liked meeting the other RotaKids from Lancashire. We will definitely be back again next year.”
