Fellow Cumbrian clubs Barrow and Workington Town have also been affected by the injury and suspension crisis at Catalans Dragons.

Whitehaven announced yesterday that their two loanees from the Dragons, Corentin Le Cam and Cesar Rouge had been recalled.

Today the Dragons officially announced that because of the injuries and suspensions that have hit the club, coach Steve McNamara has recalled five players from their loan spell in Championship.

Mathieu Cozza made three Championship appearances for Barrow Raiders.

Romain Franco and Florian Vailhen, who arrived at Workington at the end of May, have not played any games during their loan spell but have now returned to Perignan ahead of the Magic Weekend.

Franco and Vailhen were in Workington and were expected to play against Widnes last week but through no fault of Town their passports had not been stamped with the required clearance.

Town play big-spending Championship leaders Leigh at Derwent Park but will still have Jack Bibby and Toby Brannon on loan from Wigan. Despite the 36-0 defeat to Widnes last week both had promising debuts.
