John Walsh says Dan Bewley is on his way to a Grand Prix final….
It can only be a question of time before West Cumbrian speedway ace Dan Bewley makes it through to a Grand Prix final.
The Maryport racer made it three semi-finals in a row when he competed at the Polish Grand Prix, yet once again he was just unable to take that one further step.
He had finished second top scorer in the qualifying heats, in one of which he beat the overall Championship leader Bartosz Zmarzlik.
Three wins, a second and a third gave him 12 points on the night but in his semi-final he was just edged-out as Zmarzlik gained his revenge by taking second place to make the final.
Dan had suffered serious injuries, which included a broken leg and shoulder, in a bad smash riding for Workington Comets in 2018. There were some doubts as to whether he would ride again.
But he has come back better than ever and over the last two years has been showing the potential that his former Comets manager Tony Jackson always though he had.
Despite his recent crash riding for Wroclaw, I believe he can still make the cut.
