West Cumberland Federation fanciers have delayed their young bird programme and hope to start on Saturday.
For while their Derwent Valley Federation counterparts launched their programme on Saturday the WCF decided to continue training and were at Millom today, and will go again tomorrow.
The plan is to race from Flookburgh on Saturday and then review, possibly to follow-up from the same race-point next Wednesday. The Derwent Valley will go again from Flookburgh on Saturday and the two will hopefully be able to team-up the following week-end at Garstang.
Flookburgh airfield is the liberation site and over the years there have been mixed results but Saturday’s opener for the DVF appears to have gone well.
