After the disappointment of losing Monday’s trails at Latrigg, Wednesday’s meeting at the picturesque venue went ahead as planned.

It proved a great night for the Patterdale kennel of Denise Bland as she won three of the four trails and had other tickets as well.

The seniors set the evening off with Huntsman’s Que, who normally earns minor tickets, getting home in front of the in-form Miterdale Duchess for Denis Peare and Jackie Gill.

In the pups Denise enjoyed a one, two, three with Huntsman’s Rebel adding to her lead in the junior championship table by beating kennelmates Huntsman’s Ruby and Huntsman’s Rally.

The hat-trick came in the open restricted when Huntsman’s Quirk came home ahead of Julie Birkinshaw’s Breton.

Seniors: 1, Huntsman’s Que; 2, Miterdale Duchess; 3, Jenny’s Quest; 4, Winter Fell; 5, Huntsman’s Major; 6, Hawkswood. 13 ran. Time: 31.48.

Puppies: 1, Huntsman’s Rebel; Huntsman’s Ruby; 3, Huntsman’s Rally; 4, Malia; 5, Sas; 6, Clementine. 8 ran, time 19.52.

Open Maidens: 1, Foxparke LOL; 2, Trinkat; 3, Imagine; 4, Foxparke Shakalaka; 5, Foxparke Parmavidet; 6, Black Eyed Mist. 14 ran. Time 19.15.

Open Restricted: 1, Huntsman’s Quirk; 2, Breton; 3, Lily; 4, Charisma; 5, Huntsman’s Quartz; 6, Sir Robert. 15 ran. Time 18.08.
