Home draw for Barrow in Carabao Cup

Barrow have landed a home draw in the second round of the Carabao Cup – although not a plum tie they might have wished for.

Their reward for beating Blackpool on penalties this week is a home tie with League One side Lincoln City.

Survival and consolidation in League Two is the remit for new boss Pete Wild, and a lucrative Cup clash with one of the big boys along the way is the bonus.

Lincoln were convincing 3-0 winners at Doncaster on Tuesday in their first round tie and have started with two draws in their League campaign so far.

All second-round fixtures will take place in the week commencing August 22.
