Wath Brow Hornets had to abort their trip to St Helens for a National Conference League play-off game.
Travelling for their Premier Division clash with Thatto Heath Crusaders were held up by a collision today, Saturday, September 10, and were unable to complete the journey in time for the earlier kick-off time.
Roadworks on the motorway meant a diversion route where there had been a bad collision.
The National Conference League have moved quickly to fix up an alternative date and the Hornets will travel on Wednesday for a 7pm kick-off at Thatto Heath.
The Crusaders had finished fourth in the final Premier Division table with the Hornets one place below them.
