A Cumbrian business has created T-shirts in support of Helen Skelton’s Strictly journey – and they may appear on this week’s live show.

Becky Handley, 37, of Sedbergh, runs Personalised by Heaps of Fun. She had a request from the star’s sister-in-law to create T-shirts for the family to wear on the night of this week’s live show.

Becky said: “I was so happy when I got asked to do T-shirts for the family of Helen Skelton to support her while she is dancing on Strictly Come Dancing.

“Rebecca, Helen’s sister-in-law contacted me and I’ve done things for her in the past like T-shirts and other bits and she wanted to use me again, so they sent me over a couple of pictures of Helen and I picked through them to see which would work best, and I ended up choosing the one with her holding the lamb, it really jumped out at me. It was really nice to be asked to do it.”

Becky added that she and her family would be tuning in to see the star.

She added: “Normally we don’t watch but now we are, we’d love to see the T-shirts in action. I don’t know Helen personally but it’s really nice to be able to support someone local.”

Other businesses that have joined in the rallying of support for the star include Moos on the MOOr, who have created special edition milk bottles in support of Helen, which have been a hit with fans across the UK.

Becky added that if there was a public demand for more T-shirts, she would be happy to make more for fans to show their support.

She said: “I’d absolutely make more for the public to buy – anything to help Helen in the show and keep her in.”

Becky set up Heaps of Fun in 2010 and offered bespoke balloon displays and venue decorations alongside her personalised product service.
