Keswick made progress in the Fred Conway Cumberland Cup with a 2-1 win over Cockermouth.
The game should have been played at Cockermouth but the Highfield pitch was waterlogged so they agreed to switch to Keswick.
It was decided by a late winner from Dan Abbot after the two sides had been involved in a titanic struggle for supremacy,
Keswick took the lead with a close-range strike from Alfie West in a crowded box, but then Cockermouth were the better side for much of the first half.
There was no denying they deserved the equaliser from Macaulay Sharp and after that it looked like one goal would decide it.
Keswick had looked increasingly likely to grab the win as the second half drew to a close and Abbot leapt highest to power in a bullet header for the victory.
The tie was actually the first played since the County FA announced that the competition was to be renamed the Fred Conway Cumberland Cup, as a lasting tribute to the county chairman who died a week ago.

All those who knew Fred knew how much he cared about this particular competition and how hard he worked as Chairman to ensure he upheld its prestige, its history and ensured its legacy.
Fred oversaw the appointments of match officials to games in the Cumberland Cup and would often refer to it as ‘his competition’, so much was his pride and passion for the county’s premier cup competition.
The County FA believe that this is a fitting tribute that goes someway to showing how much he meant to all as a County FA and how much he will be missed.

There are still four games to be played in the second round as the wet weather has caused havoc with fixtures.
Penrith are hoping to stage their tie with Gosforth on Tuesday night and both Carlisle City and Workington hope to be in action on Wednesday. City entertain Maryport Athletic while Reds have reversed venues and travel to the Falcon Field to play Windscale.
The final tie, Carlisle United v Bransty Rangers should be played next Saturday.
Tributes to Fred Conway

The Cumberland FA asked for clubs over the weekend to organise a minute’s applause as a tribute to the late chairman Fred Conway. These under 9s from Workington Juniors and Maryport took part ahead of their futsal game this morning.
