Cleator Moor Celtic were saved a wasted journey to Runcorn Town in the North West Counties League.
The Runcorn club organised an 8.30am inspection before Celtic travelled and declared the pitch unplayable.
But the West Cumbrians will be back in action quickly as they have a scheduled League game at AFC Blackpool on Tuesday night.
Their hosts are currently 11th of 18 with 16 points from 13 games while Celtic lie 16th with nine points from 12 games.
Manager Brian Dawson said: “Apart from Rhys Little we have a full squad to pick from so hopefully we can get some points on the board.
“The lads are training well, are upbeat and are looking forward to pour upcoming fixtures.
“After Blackpool we have three home games on the bounce against teams around us in the table so we are looking to make progress.”
Yesterday, Blackpool lost 4-2 at home to Chadderton after being all square 2-2 at half time.
